Barry Ross Muchnick and Kate L. Harrison Muchnick met at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies in 2004 and were married in 2007. Barry is now an Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies and the Director of the Environmental Citizenship Speaker Series at St. Mary's College of Maryland and Kate runs her own communications consulting firm specializing in non-profit and green tech companies. Chesapeake Designs is an outgrowth of their shared dedication to environmental stewardship and Barry's personal passion for artisan belt buckles.

Bernard Kelly, an internationally known artist in gold, silver and bronze, has an eclectic portfolio of work spanning four decades. His body of work also reflects the strong visual imagery of the numerous environments where he has lived and worked over a long, productive career. Kelly opened up his first retail shop in Greenwich Village amidst the social upheaval of the 1960s.

Jeff Taylor is a Leathersmith, has been making and selling the finest quality handmade belts from his shop "Cellar Leather" in downtown Hyannis, MA, since 1980. All of his belts are made from vegetable tanned leather. Jeff’s experience, eye for detail and passion for his work make him one of the best New England Leathersmiths.
